Labour member joins Liberal Democrats in Sheffield: here’s why he did so
Good news for the Liberal Democrats in Sheffield with Labour member Danny Smith deciding to switch parties.
Here is why he made the switch:
I have voted for Labour in every election that has happened since I turned 18 – General, Local, EU, Welsh Assembly and Crime Commissioner

However, after months of careful thought and soul searching I have decided not to vote Labour in this election.

As a result I have resigned from the Labour Party and am no longer a member. The Lab Party that I supported back in the mid 00s is no longer

It is with deep regret that I have resigned membership but I'm no socialist and I feel like I no longer fit in. I don't feel at home.

Therefore after months of thought I believe my home is with the @LibDems and I have joined the party. I am a social liberal and democrat.
