Daisy Cooper is the new Liberal Democrat education spokesperson
Following the news of Layla Moran taking up the party’s foreign affairs brief, she is being succeeded as education spokesperson by Daisy Cooper:
Delighted to announce that @libdemdaisy will take on the education brief for @LibDems. Her drive and determination will keep the Tories accountable for their failings in our schools. Daisy will hold the PM to his words that when it comes to education the βbuck stops with me.β

UPDATE: Daisy Cooper and Munira Wilson swapped roles in October 2021.
This is not such a good change. The virtue of having Layla as the education spokeswoman is that she knows education from the inside and also understands Maths. Education has turned into a high profile topic at a time when we should not be de-skilling.
I can see why Ed wants to give Layla what is traditionally seen as more important job, but the government really needs to be taken to task on the results debacle and Layla was the person to do this.
