Another week, another solitary council by-election in Scotland.
Craigentinny/Duddingston, Edinburgh
Another SNP defence, this by-election saw Elaine Ford stand for the Liberal Democrats. Congratulations to Elaine and the team on doubling the Lib Dem vote share:

Congratulations to my friend @ElaineF2022 who doubled the LibDem share of the vote in the Craigentinny / Duddingston By-election.
It’s the second Edinburgh council by-election in a row where the LD share has doubled. Bodes well for 2022. 🔶 pic.twitter.com/uyWgIO4uZU

These by-election results round-ups cover principal authority by-elections. See my post The danger in celebrating parish and town council wins for your own party for the reasons to avoid straying too often into covering town, parish or community council by-elections.
