University application figures summarised in three tweets
Oddly, those who are most vocal about what impact tuition fees may have on student applications also seem to be the least interested in the evidence as to what the impact has actually been. Hence the shortage of Guardian op-ed writers saying ‘oh look…’ today.

plus the "fall" in numbers is probably due to the spike last year – they're up on 2008 and 2009…
