Haringey Labour doesn’t like its own record on housing

Consider the following pair of facts:

  1. The Labour leader of Haringey Council complaining there is not enough housing in the borough for council tenants.
  2. Labour-run Haringey Council hasn’t built any new council homes for 25 years, even though there are fully-costed plans available to do just that.

Somehow I don’t think the Labour councillors complaining about the shortage of housing are going to be mentioning how they voted against the proposals to build an extra 100 just a few months ago or indeed their poor record on putting empty homes back into use
